Although the German national Football team has always been closely associated with adidas, they wore Erima instead of adidas from 1974 to 1980. adidas purchased Erima in 1976 though and used both logos on the West German National team’s apparel, until the sole adidas logo in 1980.
Since 1980 they have only worn adidas shirts-until the German Football Federation did a deal with Nike this year.
2027 will see a German National Football team wearing a non-adidas shirt for the first time in 51 years!

adidas Originals (NBA) City Pack-2007
Featuring one of the best colourways to ever grace the New York sillhouette.
Three of the NBA’s most storied franchises were involved in an adidas NBA City Pack released in 2007. The pack consisted of Boston, LA and New York silhouettes each model utilised it’s respective NBA team colours, plus other adidas City silhouettes. The result was a green/black Boston Super, a purple/yellow LA Trainer and a blue/orange New York. The trainers also featured a symbolic logo of their city on the heel tab,a star (LA), 4-leaf clover (Boston) and an apple (New York).
adidas L.A. Trainer (Lakers)
Sticking to the LA Lakers basketball team, yellow and purple colourway these adidas LA Trainers featured a yellow mesh upper with leather purple strupes and heel tab (stamped with a gold Star, associated with the Hollywood Walk of fame). Mixed with a suede black heel and lace protectors. Finished off with the famous LA Trainer sole unit in black, sold with yellow and blue varipegs.
Also having the longtitude and latitude co-ordinates of the LA Lakers Stadium on the footbed.
adidas New York (Knicks)

The adidas New York silhouette was originally released in 1983 as part of the City Series. For the 2007 City Pack, adidas Originals dug back in time to re-release many older models, giving them new colorways and hoping to create excitement among older and newer sneaker fans.
One main feature that bonds the shoes of the 2007 City Pack together is the inclusion of a gold symbol on each shoe. For the adidas New York the symbol is of course a big apple, iconic of the great East Coast metropolis. Its colorway is representative of New York’s NBA team colors, showcasing the Knick’s dark navy blue and orange, mixed with some black in the outsole, midsole, and lacestays.
The side stripes, laces, and outsole mesh patterning are done in a bright orange. Aside from these highlights the upper is almost entirely dark navy blue, mostly made of breathable mesh for comfortable wear during athletic use. Orange stitching holds the pieces together, and breaks the blue into black on the heel just below the large golden apple symbol, which appears again on the tongue tag underneath the typical adidas trefoil branding.
Some hidden detailing can be found in the sockliner, where latitude and longitude coordinates are printed in gold ink. These numbers of course point to the location of New York City, specifically to the corner of Chambers Street and Broadway, nearby City Hall.

adidas Boston Super (Celtics)
This beautiful pair of Boston Supers were very tastefully released in the Boston Celtics basketball team colours of Green and black. These featureda green canvass upper, with black suede toe, lace and heel protectors. Also featuring black leather stripes and heel tab, stamped with a shamrock, associated with Boston’s long history with Ireland.
Also having the longtitude and latitude co-ordinates of the Boston Celtics home Stadium on the footbed.
The rest of the 2007 City Pack included a Kopenhagen, Melbourne, Münich, Rom and a Tokio, each done in a special colorway to match the city which inspires it, and completed with its own unique symbol as well.
It also included, the very seldom seen, adidas Saigon.
adidas Saigon 2007 City Series
In 2007, adidas released the "adidas Saigon". Again using a colourway and sybolism close to the City of origin. The shoes had a yellow colour scheme and 3 red stripes. On the tongue of the shoe, there was an embroidered national flag with a red star and a yellow star. In addition, inside the insole right below the red heel, there is another yellow star and a map of Vietnam with a small star right at Saigon and the words May.22.1962.
After some research, May 22, 1962 is not related to any particular political or national celebration event. But coincidentally, that was the day that the Republic of Vietnam national football team achieved their best sporting achievement, which was fourth place in the 1962 Asian Games.
