Brilliant story! Recently went to the University of Oregon’s Hayward Field where Dellinger was a legendary coach and he’s still much celebrated there. Another interesting factoid! Dellinger started as Assistant to Coach Bill Bowerman, the co-founder of Nike (sorry to mention the four letter word!).
Thanks for the comment & Wow! Were you there to watch a sporting event Jason? No problems with the four letter word-just have to see the whole Adidas Equipment range to see what they did for adidas.
No I was in town to do some research for a documentary I'm making on Steve Prefontaine, the legendary runner who was coached by Bill Dellinger. Was hoping to meet Bill, but he had a stroke a few years back and has good days and bad days, and sadly I was there on a bad day. Still hoping to interview him at some point though. Will make sure to ask him about the Web!

Ah-ha! if the doc is anything like your brilliant Jacques Chassaing book then am sure will be amazing. Real shame about Bill.
